Amy Colton is a Wealth Advisor with 3WFinancial and affiliates with Legacy Wealth Management, an SEC registered investment advisory firm that provides operational, investment, technology, and compliance resources that support independent advisors.
She comes to the financial services industry after a successful career of more than 40 years in sales, management, and business development in the technology and pharmaceutical industries. During that time, she spent more than 20 years at International Business Machines (IBM) as an executive in sales and management.
She recently left Forefront Wealth Partners after more than 12 years where she was servicing clients as a financial advisor, helping them to achieve their financial and life goals. Her priority has always been to provide thoughtful and personalized advice to help clients make informed financial decisions. Her new venture 3WFinancial allows for an expanded platform of additional resources so she can continue to provide her clients the personal service her clients have come to expect.
Amy has always been devoted to educating women especially through major life transitions such as divorce, death of a loved one and retirement. All 3 of these transitions need financial planning and guidance. 3WFinancial provides personalized retirement and financial planning, tax-aware investment planning and portfolio construction and risk management tools.
She is also the founder of Your Divorce Made Simple where she acts as a divorce guide. At Your Divorce Made Simple she works with individuals and couples going through divorce to help them negotiate the division of assets, child considerations, as well as financial and tax planning needs both during and after the divorce.
Amy is committed to her personal mission of helping to empower women to take control of their own finances and general wellbeing. She said, “Through mentoring, sharing personal experiences, and providing sound advice, I want to encourage women to get their financial house in order and to make decisions from a place of strength not fear. I want them to move forward with confidence and optimism, while encouraging them to choose their destinies and not be a victim of circumstances.”
